Welcome to the website of Triskelion, Brandeis University's GLBT/Queer Alliance!

Trisk is an umbrella organization with four branches that provide community, support, and activism for queer and allied students. Weekly general meetings are Thursdays, 8pm-9pm in the Trisk/SSIS Lounge (Shapiro Campus Center, Room 328).

QRC Coordinators!

Congratulations to Megan Straughan and Emily Smizer on becoming next years Queer Resource Center Coordinators! Megan will be available for your QRC-Coordinating-questions-and-comments pleasure for the entire 2009-2010 academic year, and Emily will be co-coordinating in the spring of '10.

In other QRC business, applications are now closed. Thank you so much to all of our wonderful applicants!

TRISK ELECTIONS!

Interested in running some of Trisk's many exciting events, meetings, and fun times? Run for Triskelion Board! Positions that you can run for include:
-President
-Communications Director
-Treasurer
-TransBrandeis Coordinator
-Pride Coordinator
-Political OUTreach Coordinator
-Sanity Coordinator (Please note that only those who have previously held a board position are eligible to run for Sanity Coordinator.)

If you are interetested in running, feel free to contact the current position-holder with any questions. You can find their name and email addresses here. The elections will be held at our NEXT General Meeting- Thursday March 12th at 8pm! Come to the board meeting if you'd like to get your first taste of how things are run! The board meeting starts at 7 pm, just before the general meeting.

Being on the Trisk Board is a fun way to get creative with Trisk ideas, and looks GREAT on a resume!

Also, if you plan to apply to the Queer Resource Center, think about applying to be on the Trisk board as well :). (Or vice-versa :D).

The QRC is now Accepting Applications!

Hey there, Triskees!
Interested in joining the Queer Resource Center? Applications are now available! You can download one from the QRC page, pick one up from the office in SCC 328, Mondays through Fridays 1:00-5:00 (or Tuesdays from 12:00-5:00, if you want to meet our great staff person, Alison!), or grab one from the Triskelion bulletin board! Our board is in lower Usdan, just beside the doors that lead from Lower into the mailroom.

The applications are due March 30th by 5:00 PM by email or in person in our office. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask!

The QRC is looking for dedicated and motivated individuals, ready to learn and ready to educate others. We are, as always, accepting of people of all identities.

New Movie!

Exciting news, Trisk-ers!

Courtesy of the lovely Scott, returning from his amazing time abroad and rejoining us at long last, is a brand new addition to the Trisk DVD library! "Dangerous Lives" is now available for rent!

"Dangerous Lives" is the world's first documentary about queer life in developing nations. Hear the stories of residents of Egypt, Honduras, Kenya, Thailand, and more.

Remember, we've also got dozens of other movies to choose from! Come pick one out, and curl up in front of your TV until the snow passes!
