Lubricated Condoms
Lubricated condoms, such as Trojan Blues, are simply male condoms with lubricant applied. SSIS recommends using a lubricated condom rather than one without lubricant to minimize friction during vaginal or anal sex which otherwise may rupture the condom. SSIS recommends using an unlubricated condom when performing oral sex on a male so not to taste the lubricant, although it is not harmful to do so. While it is effective to apply spermacide to a lubricated comdom, SSIS recommends using a condom with spermacidal lubricant already applied.
All personal lubricants SSIS sells are water-based. All but one of the lubricated condoms SSIS sells have water-based lubricants. Non-spermacidal Premium condoms have a silicone-based lubricant.
