CORE is dedicated to raising awareness and educating the Brandeis community
about rape and sexual assault. They are trained in a variety of issues
connected with sexual assault, including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress
Disorder), AIDS and STDs, campus procedures, legal procedures, domestic
violence, pregnancy issues, GLBT, male rape, sexual assault nurse examiners.

Hours are Mon-Fri 8 am-8 pm, Weekends and Holidays 10 am-4 pm
There may be up to a one-month wait, unless it is an emergency. Currently
there is no gynecologist on staff for serious problems. Appointments
can be made with the Nurse Practitioner for pelvic exams, birth control
prescriptions, pregnancy testing, STD testing, and emergency contraception.
Routine exams include free Pap smears and free chlamydia tests for undergraduates
Free and confidential pregnancy and STD testing for all undergraduates
Emergency contraception (a.k.a. the Morning After Pill) is available
up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse for a fee of $20. The fee
may be paid in cash. No appointment is necessary.
All visits to the Health Center are confidential. You must given written
consent to release any part of your file to insurance companies, doctor's
offices, or parents.
