Dear SSIS,

            My girlfriend and I make safe sex a habit of ours, but I really wanted to spice things up for Valentine's Day.  How can we accomplish this when putting on a condom or busting out a glyde dam can be such a mood breaker?

Dear Seeking Sexy Safer Sex,

            What a great question. Lucky for you, there are lots of great solutions to your query. First of all, you might consider a different attitude regarding safe sex. Sure, putting on a condom may put a pause in all the action, but to what a great end! There's no better way to show your love and affection than by protecting yourself and the person for whom you care.

            In terms of making safe sex a sexier experience, there is any number of ways to accomplish this. You could teach your girlfriend to put on a condom, and she could do it for you. She could then explore other fun ways of doing this for you.

            To spice up the use of a glyde dam, you might want to try one of the scented vanilla and/or berry glyde dams that SSIS sells. For a little extra kick, try adding non-sugar based lube to the side of the glyde dam that makes contact with the mouth.

            For other safe forms of oral sex, SSIS sells a variety of flavored condoms, ranging from chocolate to mint to strawberry. Also, there are a number of foods that you could experiment with, just make sure to steer clear of sugary or oily foods if you will later be using latex in the region where the food has made contact.  These foods have a tendency to wear at the latex. FOOD AND FOREPLAY workshop!  SSIS' workshop will take place right outside of the SSIS office (3rd floor Shapiro Student Center) on our TERRIFIC TUESDAY, February 25 from 7pm-9pm.  Our workshop will feature books of the food and foreplay variety, cookie decorating stations, lots of food, and lots of foreplay (if by foreplay you mean people!). So come in and maybe you can win one of our great food and foreplay books!

 

SSIS is having a coffee house TUESDAY, MARCH 25! Be there for games, songs, and safe sex products!
